Coast Live Oak, walnut oil. The text came in early. At 6 AM, a friend, walking a trail came across the remains of this massive Live Oak. The weight of it broke my lift. A passing stranger help me load a few pieces in the truck. Extraordinarily beautiful, with remarkably resilient bark, this was quite the 6 AM find.
